Hey everyone, the new (old) Website is finally here!

I had a great time setting up a Wordpress website...until I didn't. So, I made the decision to go back to my basic HTML+CSS roots, this time on Neocities. But don't worry, I've got some brand-new tricks up my sleeve to make it even better!

Let me give you some context

It's past 4 in the morning and I've spent the entire day trying to find the best way to create a simple and easily searchable website. After using an AI assistant for quite a while, I finally came up with a result that's pretty close to what I want.

But why did I make the switch?

Very angry darkbluecat emote I'm not sure if it was because of Wordpress, my previous hosting provider (ugh, Bluehost!), or a combination of both, but people started complaining about being redirected to malware websites from my site. It put me in a state of emergency, and I knew I had to do something about it RIGHT AWAY.

Introducing my new method

To you, the reader, it might just look like a minimalistic website. But behind the scenes, I'm actually writing everything on a simple Notepad and saving it as a TXT file on my computer. Then, I run a Python script that converts that text file into an HTML file and uploads it to my Neocities page using their API. It's like magic!

I won't lie, it's a bit uncomfortable. Wordpress is a mature blogging script, and leaving it means I'll face a new challenge of maintaining a constant flow of content. But hey, for now, this homebrewed text-to-html-to-neocities setup seems to be working pretty cool.

I have to admit, it might not have the best semantics or strictly adhere to the W3C guidelines or professional coder's best practices. That's why I would really appreciate it if you could lend me a hand and let me know what's wrong and what could be improved.

Anyway, enough about the website

I think it's time for me to stop working on my website and get back to what you probably came here for: Music production!

It's still mind-blowing to me how many different projects I've been asked to work on, from cover productions to jingles for intros and outros, and even original songs (if you're interested, feel free to commission me - wink wink!). I hope to cover more of these topics in my future blog updates.

See you soon!
